How to find us at the abbey
By public transport:
If you are travelling by train, get off at Ilsenburg station. From there you can reach us by bus. We will be happy to order a taxi for you on request. Other bus connections run from Wernigerode. The nearest bus stop is “Drübeck-West” in Drübeck.

By car – Arriving via the A36:
- from Goslar/Braunschweig: take the Ilsenburg exit, then follow the signs for Wernigerode (L 85) or the signs for “Straße der Romanik”.
- from Halle/Leipzig: Exit Wernigerode Nord, follow signs for Elbingerode/Schierke, then turn right at the traffic lights (Hasseröder Brewery) towards Darlingerode/Ilsenburg.
